Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Runner is a very lithe built dragon, athletic and flexible. He has to be for his job. He's part of a new class in Nebbia, an operation Blu began to ensure contact between his clan and the others. For communication has become a problem. No one knows when another clan is being attacked by Creorluna.

Runner is more or less a perfect scout, trained for years now in the art of escaping, both from skirting around detection and making hasty get aways when his attempts fail. With the aid of him and other light-footed dragons in the clans, Elders, Nebbia, Equinox, and Ferox have become more connected and for it much safer.

Personality wise, Runner is known to speak quickly and briefly when not on missions; rather ironic, for when he is on missions, he forcibly speaks slowly so the meanings of his messages are not lost. He's rather awkward in all social interactions and tends to speak too intelligently for many of his counterparts to understand.
