Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Deadly Poison" in Japanese. He is a son of Zetsumei and Shinigami, and is his parents pride and joy. He is a rather dashing dragon, in a sort of dark and frightening way. His wings are blood-red, his hide as dark as night with ghostly markings, devilish horns adorn his skull-like head, and his tail is a sharp pitchfork. However, despite his appearance he is a very friendly dragon. By the time that Gekidoku's egg arrived in the valley, the other dragons were all pretty used to seeing vampires around, and understood that they only drank the blood of prey animals. As such, he is actually quite popular among the other dragons. He likes to entertain and horrify them with scary stories, mostly centered around the wilderness and strange creatures. That's how he won his mate, Meikai. She fell in love with his imagination, and his stories, and soon she fell in love with him. They are soul mates, and are so in love, and they always will be.
