Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ridiculous Black Merlin is the King's adviser and favored magician. The Queen initially disdained Merlin, since he refused to join as her Warrior when he came of age. Instead, he begged to apprentice under a true Magi so that he could improve his own natural talent. Since he was another political trade and not born to the Black Clan, the King intervened on his behalf and talked the Queen into it. Since that moment over two thousand years ago, the King has had Merlin's unwavering loyalty.

Merlin is now one of the scroll's most accomplished magicians. Since his origins aren't known by any but the Crown, he has put out various legends that his conception was otherworldly. Most of the Clan truly believes that he is of demonic origin. In reality, he traces his ancestors back to this very Clan, but that is a secret that is heresy to speak.
