Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This lunar herald goes by many names, all nicknames given to her by others because she's never really needed any. She does not talk to anyone else much, and when she does, she does so telepathically so there's no confusion about who's addressing whom. Nicknames range from the mundane ("you there with the knob head", "Beautiful") to bizarre ("204655", "Algemene Bepalingen") and are oftentimes made up on the spot. She sometimes wonders if she gets talked about and whether there's confusion between two parties discussing the same lunar herald, but it's none of her concern. Once a few months, someone will travel to the dragon for a moon blessing or whatever-they-call-it. She has a number of sarcastic responses saved for people who are glib or obsequious; she's not immune to flattery but there's such thing as too much. As long as they're not aggressive or rude, she rewards their time and effort by giving them a blessing, a little spell that suits their request.
