Lihnseyre Dragons are innately in tune with the souls of creatures around them, informing these dragons of where and what life forms are near. These solitary creatures use this ability to evade others and watch from a distance, staying out of sight or soaring high up in the air. As they have a tendency to “see” and appreciate souls more than the actual wielders of said souls, they are rather detached in terms of emotional and personal connections. Though some tell stories of their anger and sorrow being washed away by these dragons or being freed from weariness, this is not out of inherent goodwill; they simply prefer the feeling of peaceful souls. While hard to anger, a Lihnseyre Dragon, once enraged, will unleash powerful magic to sever the soul tether—the connection between a being’s material body and its extra-planar soul—of the offender and effectively end their life with cold indifference.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ontogeny is one of the inhabitants of the once-abandoned Hip House, which was named such by the first group of four dragons to resettle there. It really is a nice house, with a lot of objects and a twisty history, and it is huge even by dragon standards. Ontogeny likes it because it has a great deal of magic and inhabitants he's never seen elsewhere. He was able to move to a room on the second floor simply by asking for permission, and no one seemed to mind him growing more bushes and other jungle flora reminiscent of his old territory. Occasionally, the odder occupants of the Hip House will enter Ontogeny's room and kill plants, make a gooey mess, and sometimes try to kill him, too, which he doesn't like. At least six of them are unaffected by his soul-severing magic, to his puzzlement. He has to tolerate their presence, and he still really likes the Hip House otherwise. The things eventually get bored or get called to something else and leave for other parts of the house.
