Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Sir John Hawkins is a dragon who is determined to make as much money as possible as he can. He says he'll accomplish his goal by trading various things Deep Sea dragons or other waterbound dragons can't get normally. Nobody knows how he gets his land items when he's waterbound like all those other dragons. He has his ways.

He'll also call himself Captain General and demand that he be referred to as such when he's around other dragons. Most of those dragons think it's kind of stupid, but they relent because they want their land items.

Besides his goal of becoming rich, he designs ships in his free time. Ships that will sail faster and be better than normal ships. Because he thinks ships are cool.
