Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Furiku, named for the human who raised her, is the undisputed queen of the cave when it comes to the rest of the dragons that her human has adopted. She's not the strongest nor the fastest but she is rather clever. After all, one would have to be in order to keep the peace when so many volatile breeds are kept together in a cave like this. Luckily she rarely has to intervene.

Given the nature of Magma dragons it's hard to tell if Furiku caries any scars of past battles, but given the way she favors her left foreleg when walking its easy to assume that she hasn't won every fight she's ever been in.

Furiku is most often found on a small cliff up towards the top of the cave that has a small magma pool, keeping an eye out for trouble. She has a soft spot for younger dragons so the instant something seems wrong with a hatchling she'll be on her way over to check it out. On occasion her mate, the silver dragon Illidallion, will join her at her perch and help keep watch.
