Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sir Cup is an avid collector of drinking vessels of all kinds. He has so many that it is a challenge to traverse his territory—he cares and somehow keeps track of all of them, from the shoddiest wooden cup to the most exquisite of gilded goblets. Accidentally breaking or marring one is enough to invoke his wrath. He does daily rounds to keep an eye on all his cups, and drinks from them in a rotation that makes sure to get them all. He has a few cursed cups, one of which makes his tongue glow blue for a few hours after he sips from it. It is suspected that another has a curse that effects his speech, given his infrequent but regular bouts of saying strange statements such as:

"I caught a couple cups of mud

That rodents sullied—makes me mad!

I polish clean each cherished cup

Whilst working thus, I doff my cap."
