Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Before Fierce Energy hatched, he heard from inside his egg humans plotting to capture him once he emerged and use his powers to their own advantage. He knew he had to do something, so he supercharged the sparks of electricity surrounding his egg and burnt all of the humans that had stolen him. This blast of power shot the egg into the air, where it was carried by a storm cloud to his cave. There he hatched and matured. Quiet and cautious, but with an easily ignited temper, Fierce Energy's favorite pasttime is to fill the night sky with lightning. He secretly loves Silver Shower, but every time he tries to talk to her, she happens to be in one of her moods. These moods send the sheer energy of her weather-controlling powers willy-nilly, and being of the weather himself, Fierce Energy is the only dragon that can tolerate this, while other dragons are forced to flee from the cave. He often calms her down, but she never realizes his true feelings.
