Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Black Tufted Bassoon was named due to his musical call. His master found him as an egg on top of a pile of mixed eggs. He was hatched and raised in a place called Crystal Valley, where all of his master's dragons lived. Bassoon was the first of his kind to be brought to the valley, so there were no other Seregamma Wyverns to play with. When he grew to adulthood, Bassoon began to search for a mate using his mating call. Since there were no other Seregamma Wyverns nearby, his calls would always go unanswered. One day, however, he heard a loud call somewhere off to his left. He responded with his musical call, and soon came snout-to-snout with the most beautiful dragon he had ever seen. She was a Speckle-Throated Dragon called Bugle. Bassoon was instantly smitten, and ever since then they have become inseparable. Both were glad that they had found a mate at last. Soon Bugle laid an egg, and Bassoon makes sure to keep it close and safe, for he has heard rumors of vampires lurking nearby.
