Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Annoyance stayed curled up in his egg far longer than any other egg has in the Clan for a very long time. His mother Arcissyra was so irritated at her son once he finally hatched that she bestowed this name upon him. Annoyance isn't very bright nor is he fun to be around, and though he is respected due to the color of his scales, he has no real friends.
