Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shaka spends his days weaving webs, covering them in sticky glue, and hanging them from trees in order to catch insects and bugs to feed the clans. The many types of dragons in the clans need a large variety of food, and Shaka is proud to provide food for those who have other duties. Shaka spends the morning and afternoon weaving, and then glides round in the cooler evening, checking all the nets and marking which one need repairs. On the odd occasion a newly winged hatchling will have got caught in the twine, and Shaka will sigh with frustration as he cuts them out of the tattered net it took him hours to weave. Shaka is partnered to Hermione, who he loves deeply, but her emotional distance to him distresses him. He feels responsible for her, being her partner, but she cares little about him or his well-being, wrapped up in her own business. Ever the romantic, this upsets Shaka, as he knows she will never truly love him, but he feels duty bound to stand by her, through thick or thin.
