Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jam is a lot more active than his brother, though, seeing how he's the universe's laziest dragon, that isn't saying much. He's a pretty standard Royal Crimson Dragon, defending the volcanic territory his family occupies. He doesn't much care for other dragons, seeing other breeds as lesser and not worthy of acknowledgement. This is especially so with his brother's boyfriend, Cuprite, whom Jam has a rivalry with. Jam is incredibly powerful and domineering. He has never once lost a fight with another dragon, using both his size and combat skill to destroy any who attempt to rise above him. He has a lot of pride as a Royal Crimson Dragon. Jam believes his breed is the most perfect and dominant, a royal breed, and he enacts that royalty full force. Jam is very pompous and arrogant. As mentioned before, he looks down on other dragons as pests. However, he doesn't see his siblings as especially high either.
