Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As his name suggests, this dragon lives in the wide open plains, feasting on bison for a living and engaging in play with the local human tribes. He's exceptionally quick, even more so than his naturally swift breed generally is. However, while this ability does help him in his hunting, sometimes the friction of his rapid movements can generate sparks. This can turn deadly quickly in times of drought, when the grass is already dry and perfect for fuel. A few nasty wildfires started on his part have alienated him from some of the area's other dragons.
