Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shamroc, though not a black dragon, is incredibly fierce and loves fighting. She is very hot-blooded and hates man for making her an orphan. Shamroc still has some maternal roots though, and she wants to protect any egg or hatchling who happen to be trodding down the same fateful, lonely path that she has ever since she hatched. Lady Luck may have taken pity on this unfortunate dragon when Dappling Leaves entered Shamroc's life. Ever since he hatched, it has been like walking through a dream for Shamroc. Though young, she is already a grandmother, and she spoils her only granddaughter Wynter Sky to no end, much to Wynter Sky's parents Gwyllan and Snowflayk's annoyance.
