Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whisper of the Stars says she's never had much interest in potion-making. One evening when Halloween was near, a costumed golden wyvern and sooty white urged her to partake in experimental brewing "just once, come on, it'll be fun!" She tried some ooze made of sand and ice from who-knows-where, and a whoosh later, she sparkled as if her body were reflecting a dozen suns. There seemed to be no way to undo the effect except to wait, and Whisper of the Stars grouched about how conspicuous and terribly undignified she looked. Her friends were sad that she didn't enjoy the experience; they're lucky she's so forgiving. Now, once in a while, Whisper of the Stars goes on a quest to find those components—lots of them—to bring home for "science". While working, she sometimes accidentally ingests them both at once in a specific dosage and must suffer the embarrassment of being sparkly again. She growls and complains loudly every time it happens, but her friends can see the glee in her eyes.
