Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fury of the Night Winds (Nightwind) is a talanted black dragoness. She studied a white dragoness named Final Tear as she healed a wounded warrior. She watched as the white dragoness used a spell to transfer the blood of a dead bird into the wounded terrae warrior. Nightwind evolved the spell into a vicious battle spell that didn't transfer blood into the enemy, but it made the opponent bleed out from the inside. Blood begins to leak out through the eyes, nose, mouth and ears of the enemy, disabling them from fighting back. One terrae dragon was impresses with the black dragoness's fire for battle and he courted her. Now the couple has many children and they look forward to having more in the near future.
