Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

During most times of year, Merrimint likes nothing better than stay in his cave or lie under a large rock, and sometimes he's called out and told to be more active or otherwise help around the network. Surely, it isn't his fault that he doesn't want to work. Around major holidays and other times of celebration, though, he stays in his cave or lies under a large rock, and others are too busy with chores or traveling to notice or bother with him. Merrimint hardly attends any parties or gatherings during those times, so he doesn't benefit from the things he isn't contributing to. He is really good at estimating and eyeballing, so the occasional visitor will find him drag him out to help with a problem.
