Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Faust Iceborn desertflower is calm, logical, and smart. He can however come across as detached, and sometimes threatening when he needs to be. Faust has determination, fearlessness, poise, loyalty, ambition and great intuition; the negative traits being jealousy, secretiveness, resentment and a controlling nature. Faust is polite to people or dragons who are in power or related to it, and claims he only helps those who can benefit him somehow. His best friend, Ordono Flash, finds this untrue. He believes Faust is a good dragon who willingly helps others out of his own free will, but different in that he prefers to maintain an indifferent facade. Being an Ultraviolet dragon, Faust is a powerful fire breather. His clan claims he can burn other dragons literally into ashes in mere seconds. He also seduces females with it, as he can perform intriguing, passionate and complex fire dances. Faust has strangely inherited his father's ice dragon power, earning him the nickname "Fire ice".
