Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Almandintrion DayEnder (after the gemstone: Almandine Garnet) is the tenth dragon of the clan cave. When The Clan Mother returned from her quest to find Opaliestrus, she carried Almandintrion's egg along with her as well, one carefully tucked under each arm. When asked by the clan elders why she had chosen such a daring undertaking, two eggs at once, The Clan Mother explained that she could not simply walk away from the magnificently colored egg that she had seen sitting all alone amidst a sea of shattered shells. Almandintrion is mildly irritable in demeanor, and prefers a solitary existence whenever possible. The most noticeable exception to this is his open affection for his egg mate, Opaliestrus, with whom he shares a deep and sentimental bond. Seeing the two dragons dance through the heavens, he with his dark bluish-purple and reddish-orange scales, she in all her brilliant white, is both a contradiction and a perfect vision of pure, unadulterated beauty.
