White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oltherfor grew up simultaneously with four other dragons, all of which were considered rare and thus were fawned upon by all of the female dragons. Though his mother, Wylkkraef, loved him greatly, and his older brother Treftnyr taught him how to fly, he couldn't help wishing he had taken on the golden appearance of his father, who had never been particularly proud of him. As he grew, though, he realized that he was valued perhaps just as much as the other eggs, for he was wise and had powers greater than any of theirs—he could heal.

He was even more amazed when Cylriade, the only female dragon in their group of five, chose him as a mate. Though he has never really wanted to be a father, he loves Cylriade and cares for their eggs well.
