White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shades of Ivory was abandoned as a hatchling due to a severe disability; this dragon, since birth, has been unable to talk or communicate verbally whatsoever. He was flung out of his cave upon the discovery of his condition and began to live on his own. However, he became severely malnourished and was weak when he stumbled upon his current cavemates. The other dragons took pity on him, especially First Snowfall, another of his kind. Right away, they seemed to have a connection, even though they could not speak to each other. Shades of Ivory learned to concentrate his exceptional magic and began to communicate telepathically. He can now form words, but no magic is strong enough for complete communication. First Snowfall is something of a mentor to Shades of Ivory, who is now sharing his patience, understanding, and silent care with his cave.
