Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Off Tab is small and slender and is not disposed to magic, so she relies on her guile to survive in a territory where nearly every dragon physically outmatches her. She says she has a lot of friends and family, but apparently, none of them live here. She gets a lot of jobs requiring her expertise in solving a mystery or finding out more about someone or some group, and she enjoys the challenge. A lot of folks know of her moral code but are split on whether she's being truthful about having scruples. She has a knack for saying things that deliberately needle her allies, yet other times, she acts politely and expresses that she admires them for their bravery, steadfastness, or whatever. A few dragons enjoy working with Off Tab even when she outright says she's stringing them along, with some saying their frilled colleague is actually sweet, caring, and likable if one ignores the possibility that she'll betray them, and others asserting that they can be the ones to "tame" her.
