Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Amber-Garnet, who took her name because she resembles a garnet stone with amber inlay, primarily does her hunting in the mountains and red clay desert, where her coloration blends in best with the background. Here she finds huge termite nests and swarms of fire ants (whose flavor she finds piquant and tasty)—since these are very troublesome to the human groups who live in the area, she is much beloved by them, and they often leave her offerings of the beautiful carving work for which they are known (in bone, or stone, metal or jewels). Thus, her hoard is full of the most amazing carvings and sculpture, instead of merely plain gold and jewels. Since she thrives on admiration, and views admiration of her hoard as admiration of herself, she has arranged her collection carefully on the walls and shelves of her cave, museum-fashion, and welcomes visitors of all species to come and see.
