Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hereward is an excellent scout and spy, having a photographic—and personal—knowledge of the terrain in his territory, and a surprising amount of stealthy ability for a large bright-red dragon. His own senses are excellent, and it is very, very difficult to sneak up on him or catch him unawares. Since his clan is mostly at peace at the moment, he spends his time happily socializing with other dragons and the humans under his protection, with whom he gets along quite well. He is also an expert in Anglo-Saxon history and culture, both intellectual and hands-on (as in, say, the making of exquisite gold jewelry, though his claws are not quite deft enough to be expert in the great Anglo-Saxon school of embroidery), and often teaches classes in that field to other dragons, humans and dinosaurs.
