Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Devmani doesn't see the point in wings at all—why the sky, when the depths of the earth are far more interesting. Maybe it's slightly narcissistic on his part, but he loves examining crystals. He spends much of his time plumbing deep caverns, quietly noting glimmering structures. He's not always a quiet one, though—if asked about his searches, he will go on at length about his finds with a polite intensity. Some of what he says is scientific, but there's a poetic vein there, too. He has the patience needed for digging up jewels.
It was this patience that allowed him to endear himself to his mate Geflimmer. He realized she was very much like the crystals he was so taken by—often hidden away, but delicate and beautiful. Their relationship grew closer as he realized that they valued the same things, until at last they opened their hearts to one another, producing a daughter, Ysolte. Devmani takes his little family into deep, cool fissures with him, examining treasures underground.
