Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Often, flocks of Madder Jungle neotropicals gather around a banana tree, wanting to eat a banana, but certain that if they go pick one it will be stolen by a flockmate. Enter Falo Faminebreaker: she earned her title for seeking out these gatherings and picking a banana herself. The fruit is promptly stolen by one of the neotropicals, starting off one of the jungle-wide banana-stealing fiascos the jungle is known for. As with all holiday dragons, she enjoys the spirit of giving, so she gives the neotropicals what they want: stolen bananas. She never tells them the bananas they take were intended as gifts, because of the wide-held belief among the so-called 'banana' dragons that stolen bananas are tastier.
