Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

However, she resents riders and therefore is impossible to train, instead deigning to tease them by getting close enough to steal treats and then dashing off again. Brighty of the Twilit Canyon has shown repeated interest in her, but she continues to tease him. However, after the birth of her daughter, Amethyst Majesty, she became skittish, her feisty nature drained from her, and hides beneath the ripples of her home.
