Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Peregine is very courageous and will boldly confront a challenge with great zeal. He is a little stubborn, however, and he doesn't seem to realize when it would be a good time to back down and try a different approach. His beautiful scales bear many scars because of this. Peregrine is also very impatient and active, and slower-moving or lazy dragons frustrate him. His tamer has her hands full with this dragon because he is so high-strung and excitable.
