Nhiostrife Wyverns are one of the few known breeds of wyvern with more than one set of wings. Because of their four wings, Nhiostrifes are very nimble in the air and control their movements with ease. When it’s mating season, males put on a very beautiful and unique air dance in an attempt to charm a female. The amount of stripes on their wings vary, with more stripes being more attractive, although most have only two to four. Their general attitude is very passive and curious—they only fight if they or their families are in danger.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

For a long time, Psne lived a romantic tragedy. She was deeply in love with JrBas, but his uncontrollable caligene magic made her unable to spend any reasonable amount of time with him. It was not until she found herself framed for murder that things changed. She fled into his woodland, deciding she would rather wither to death by his side than live as a criminal or be hanged by the law. A cassare—invulnerable to the life-sapping magic—pursued and eventually cornered her. Out of desperation she fought and eventually killed the other dragon, immediately becoming upset that she had now committed the crime for which she was accused.

JrBas eventually found her quasi-suicidal and insisted that she was not a monster. He convinced her it was an act of fate. He took the dead cassare and used the antimagical powers of its body to suppress his draining, so that the two could be together without concerns for ill health. Nowadays, the two travel the world and are inseparable.
