Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bronze Splash is named because of his shiny family members and because he loved to swim. He is now afraid to and hasn't touched a body of water since he was 25 because of a silly mistake that caused him to nearly drown and gave him a concussion. His family and friends are still convinced that he will soon give it a try again, and they're probably right, but baby steps are important. What happened long ago is that when Bronze Splash was more daring, he swam and dove into the water and did sometimes dangerous stunts. One day, he planned a difficult maneuver off a board-shaped rock. He mistimed the tides, and the water level was higher than he had thought, giving him less time to straighten up to hit the water. He bungled the most complicated spin and crashed his hard dive.
