Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

IMH, whose birth name can only be described as a lengthy jumble of characters, does not bore easily and spends much of his free time perched on trees where he can see a water source. He likes to be near water in case he's thirsty, so among his trees of choice are the pines overlooking the human-settled Millipitas, where there are decorative fountains and eateries. They don't really take kindly to anyone drinking from the fountains, especially the one at the First Zinoan Church with the urinating cherubs. There aren't many trees that can withstand a dragon of his size alighting on the upper branches, so it's easy to find him. Sometimes, he's so easily spotted that he's used as target practice, so he's wondering about ways to disguise himself as more of a tree.
