White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lauralie was born to two white dragons, but her father left before she was even laid. Lauralie's mother was very protective of her. Her mother never let her leave the cave, always bringing food inside so she didn't have to. Her mother talked about how the outside world was evil and would hurt Lauralie. For a time, Lauralie heeded her mother's warnings, she quenched her curiosity by exploring every corner of the caves and the tunnels that were connected to it. But, once she reached her adolescent years the same old caves couldn't keep her occupied any more. Late at night while her mother was asleep she would go outside. She never went far, just wanting to sit under the stars or explore the forest below. Her mother is aware of her wanderings and does her best to protect her daughter from the shadows. Lauralie is innocent and naive, and her mother wants to keep her that way. Though she tries to discover what evil is her mother still tries to shelter her from how horrible the world can be.
