Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Geetha is a proud and learned dragon; many would say she's difficult to work with and awfully boastful. She has rarely let a target escape and happily shares her meals with others while subtly reminding them, especially the impressionable youngsters, that her ratio of successful to failed hunts is the best in the Pena Peak group. One of the few members who can read several languages, Geetha is often the one to explain foreign signs and documents, and she enthusiastically updates postings on the community tree at daybreak before the other literate dragons are up. Many adolescents have put aside more time to learn to read and write just to make her shut up about how smart she is. Some dragons have reported seeing Geetha doing something unusual: she occasionally wanders around at midday while babbling about someone named "OP". Apparently "OP did" a lot of things. The next night, she has no recollection of this, and whenever someone brings it up, she accuses them of slander.
