Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyropeblud Mystal RedDawn (Clan Mystal) became the 29th dragon of the clan cave, and the first born of pure Mystal Red Dragon lineage. His parents represent a dueling dichotomy of personalities, and for a time, The Clan Mother worried much for this youngling. His father's rebuking nature seemed to have been inherited and hisher first tenuous steps toward maturity were fraught with vicious confrontations with his clan brethren. At the behest of the clan elders, The Clan Mother insisted that Pyropeblud journey with her to a distant land to bear witness to the horrific end his path would lead him to if he persisted with his intolerance and unyielding attitude toward the clan members. Upon their return, Pyropeblud displayed none of the traits with which he had left the clan cave, and indeed was washed clean of his father's cruel views of the other dragons. Since that day, his beginnings remain unspoken and he is well respected by all around him.
