Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glitter like enchanting flames.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Floofy Witch is much kinder and bubblier than one might expect of her. Her three caretakers have been teaching her manners and different forms of magic since she was born and are satisfied with how the young dragon has turned out. She does not hope to do anything daring or change the world in the future; she would simply like to live in it in peace, either in solitude or with a small cohort. Perhaps she'll entertain others with harmless magic tricks. While practicing, Floofy Witch sometimes "accidentally" creates mind-bending illusions on Flea Flicker the caligene, who "accidentally" targets her with a waste-away spell in return. The guardians are uncomfortable with the back-and-forth spell-casting, but the two at least recognize each other's limits and never target an adult.
