Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Munchie Cyr, 13th named of the clan. Not long after Artemicion's unexpected arrival, several of the clan dragons reported hearing strange scrabbling noises among the food stores. Lady Nerruse investigated several times and, finding nothing, figured it was Amadore playing another one of his jokes. Thus she was quite surprised one morning to find a dragon made of cheese sitting on her table! The sudden appearance of Munchie, so soon after Artemicion, made the Elders speculate that the presence of so many dragons had stirred the dormant magic of the isle, resulting in the enchanted pair. Munchie chose to live in the pantry, catching rodents by attracting them with his delicious scent, then pouncing and dropping the offending beasts out the nearest open window.
