Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyropezues TalonStrike (after the gemstone: Pyrope Garnet) is the 44th clan dragon, introduced during the Christmas holiday shortly after the glorious Ribbon Dancers. Many believe that her intense protective nature is a direct result of her close connection to the pair, to whom she shows an unending amount of devotion and respect. She quickly found herself recruited into the ranks of The Red Claw, and has excelled in her position as both scout and first strike option. While her outward demeanor is rather gruff and harsh, she has a tendency to relax those qualities each year as the last few leaves of autumn break away and fall. During the rest of the year, however, Pyropezues enjoys raking her claws across whatever hard surface she can find, and of course, taking to the air to perform search and destroy activities whenever The Red Claw calls her to duty.
