Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

On the darkest day of the year, six leaders made a dangerous pact: to join forces against a now all-too-powerful enemy. Trust may be weak between the undead and the living, but neither were fairing well versus the cataclysmic forces of Izdati and his Creorluna stooges.

While Ash barely trusts his new allies and they him, the Equinox coven would have likely been destroyed within the year. Raids had taken a terrible toll their numbers and they could not risk turning enough dragons to replenish their forces.

Though he's their primary leader, Ash is a mystery, even to them. His whereabouts before Equinox's founding are difficult to pin down. It's obvious he's well traveled. He has more knowhow on foreign affairs than even the Elders themselves.

He's a fairly sophisticated dragon, his speech refined and his manners top-notch. It's almost difficult to believe he spends his nights ravenously hunting the blood of Creors with the aid of his new-found allies.
