Hailing from northern climes, the Boreal Dragon prefers cold, snowy weather. A very secretive and solitary breed, they rarely descend from the mountains they call home. The breed communicates over long distances via loud, low-pitched bellows. These calls often cause avalanches at the peril of any creature unable to run or fly away to safety.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Naveqik guards the entrance to a particularly treacherous land of ice, snow and cliffs high in the peaks of his clan's northern mountains. He is very lonesome here, not often getting many visitors, but such a job suits the asocial beast and he is happy to be alone. He does his duty well, fiercely protecting the ravine that serves as the entrance to a landscape of dangerous and rigid glaciers. He only lets in those he feels are well suited and skilled enough to traverse the place.
