Witchlight Dragons are silent, secretive beasts that haunt the most remote corners of the wilderness. They beguile their unsuspecting prey into peril by assaulting their perceptions of reality and stoking the fires of paranoia with masterfully-conjured illusions. Unwary travelers have been led astray by the soft, inviting glow of their eyes amidst a sea of encroaching darkness, never to be seen again. Those that survive a Witchlight Dragon’s psychic onslaughts do not escape unchanged: some believe that the apparitions these dragons summon to tempt or torment their victims awaken them to hidden truths about themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tate Peoria lives in a forest of many names, with ruddy, mana-embedded soil suitable for production of a beverage he calls Tate's Own Phenomenal Fare, Tates for short. It's a sweet, smoky concoction with a hint of spiciness and uncanniness, and it causes drinkers to lose their sense of direction while gaining confidence and strength... and, of course, it makes them happy. Peoria would never attack someone under his drink's influence; that's terrible customer service. In fact, the entire forest is under his and his kin's protection. Many of his loyal customers have either memorized his route or employ other means to find him, just so they can have a Tates. Those who only wish to go through the forest are advised to avoid interacting with Peoria, no matter how enticing his aura or how pleasant the drink's aroma. Anyone on a quest who gives in to the temptation for the drink will no doubt forget their purpose and wander aimlessly. As the saying goes, he who has a Tates is lost.
