Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Talinnia is a Two Finned Bluna and the daughter of KeFlare the Skywing and FrostPearl the Water. Despite being a swimming dragon, Talinnia does not particularly enjoy being in the water. She often climbs out onto the shore of the lake she shares with the other swimmers and wanders around. She enjoys flying, but unlike her sister Merrill, she is not content with the small flying rides her father sometimes takes his family on. As a result, she was delighted when she found a mention of a flying machine in one of her owner's books. With the help of some of her adventurous friends, she soon built a rather unwieldy contraption which collapsed the moment she placed a fin on it. However, she is undeterred by this setback and is now working on a new model which she is certain will help her fly.
