Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

While most neotropicals enjoy their bananas at the peak of yellowness, Overripe Banana prefers hers overripe and brown. She goes to great lengths to protect her bananas from other dragons who would eat them before they are far past their prime. She is one of the loudest of the Madder Jungle neotropicals, screeching as she chases anything that attempts to steal her fruit. On the rare occasions where she accumulates more all-brown bananas than she can eat, she will make some of them into banana cake. Of course the banana cake is good enough that many dragons want to share it, and Overripe Banana must immediately return to defending her food. She tries to deny the well-known fact that a stolen banana is tastier than one that wasn't already claimed, but every dragon, drake, dino, pygmy, and possibly even the primates in the jungle know and have experienced the increased deliciousness of stolen food; so all she achieves by complaining is making herself look foolish.
