Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Solitude is one of the biggest joys in life for Nefmire. It's not that she dislikes other dragons, as she will happily spend many hours in their company, but if she spends more than a day without at least an hour of being alone, she will become sick of everyone who surrounds her. She enjoys their presence, but the throbbing headache and the overwhelming urge to curl up and sleep takes hold of her, yet she feels so much pressure to continue having fun that she blindly pushes onwards. All she wants to do is stop, go and do her own thing, simple daily routines, like having a bath or tidying her nest. Escape seems futile however; as she knows she cannot simply abandon her friends, at least, not without facing repercussions. This causes Nefmire to feel guilty about the situation, yet she somehow manages to become irritated at her friends, for something she knows they are not consciously doing. So she carries on with her social life, all the time dreaming of peace and quiet.
