Diamondwing Dragons are named for the myriad tiny scales that grow on their wing membranes, lending them a faceted, lustrous appearance. These meticulous creatures will spend months ranging far and wide to collect the shiniest trinkets and gemstones to adorn their nests. Once his nest is complete, a male Diamondwing will perform an elaborate aerial dance hoping to impress potential mates with his beauty and prowess.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dazzlyn's easygoing nature, investigative mind, and desire to contribute to the community make him a reliable dragon for jobs all around the region. If he's asked if he'd like to do something he doesn't know, he'll try to learn the skills required to do it. He's a very busy dragon. There is an exactly hour-long time period every two days where Dazzlyn seems extra productive, in more ways than one. This is when he can really concentrate on a report, develop and piece together ideas, or do something else mentally challenging. Although his clients and employers are pleased about the results, they know this work takes place in the house of easement, so they don't want to hear the details. Rather than bug him, neighbors have learned to head elsewhere if they have duties at that time. In case anyone forgets about the beginning of this productive period, Dazzlyn always announces, "I must go to the usual office now. Don't bother me because I've got a jobbie to do!"
