Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Noble Sort" in Japanese. She was raised by Nobuyuki and Sango. She's always been a shy and quiet dragon, who prefers the company of only a small group of family and friends. She's a great glider, and is capable of weaving in between the tree branches of the jungle that she calls home. She prefers to just glide leisurely though, and only performs acrobatics when she has to. She's chosen to live life as a frugavore, so she doesn't have to worry about hunting. Mangoes are her favorite fruit, but she'll eat just about any fruit she finds. She's never minded that her mate, Haruo, eats insects and meat. She loves him just the way that he is, and would never dream of asking him to change. Arisu has loved Haruo since she was just a hatchling. He was older than her, and was already living in the bachelor colony. But she'd see him around, and dream of being his mate one day. Once she'd matured, he took notice of her as well. They love each other so much, and always will.
