Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hides in dark spaces and lunges at anything that gets too close. Small piles of bones are accumulating outside of its “lairs”...

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mr. EgG is obsessed with eggs. He sneaks through the vast, lightless network of caves beneath Valkemare's surface searching for nests. Whenever he has the opportunity he snags eggs, eats them, and takes the shells back to his lair where he pastes them back together. His weyr is littered with reconstructed eggs, often filled with volatile darkness mana so that if anyone attempts to break or eat one, it will blast them with destructive magic. He dreams of having a collection of every type of egg ever, from fly eggs and newt eggs all the way to dragon eggs. He doesn't actually know how ambitious that project is because he only knows about the limited selection of species that thrive in the permanent darkness of the underground.
