Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dorsanus Black Fury is a dorsal dragon. Her mother is a terrae dragon and her father is a dorsal dragon. She is a humorous dragon and loves her friends dearly and will do anything just to protect them. She is the co-founder of the Iron Roar clan with Sernah, Kabaya, and Protektoras. At some time, shortly after the founding of their clan, Dorsanus and the three other co-founders were blocked by a wild thunder dragon. The powerful thunder dragon attacked the four and the three were instantly knocked out except for Dorsanus, she managed to move away from the blast but pieces of rock had hit her whole body. The three recovered and saw Dorsanus fighting the thunder dragon, Dorsanus yelled at them to run away and save their clan's name and at that point, the three realized that Dorsanus taught them something. That if one is willing to save or bring the clan to glory he or she would sacrifice his or her very life to achieve it. After the fight, the fortunate Dorsanus emerged victorious.
