Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become rather vicious and wary of others of its kind.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little hatchie is a smart one. All his life, he has spent his time learning how to catch people on their lies. He is also very silly. Whenever he catches someone in a lie, which is surprisingly often, he laughs and says "Great bait mate, I rate eight out of eight". When it came time to be named, he decided to name himself after his little rhyme; however, he ended up going a silly route and added the number 8 many times in it. He rarely ever gets laughed at it though, because of his ability to catch lies. This little quirk of his has gained him many enemies, but also many friends.
