Garland Dragons are a welcome sight in the skies during the holiday season. Their slightly luminous scales shine softly at night or catch the day’s sunbeams as they turn loops and spirals in the sky. They will often drape themselves around tall pine trees or along rooflines, adding a festive note to the winter scenery. Occasionally they drop red mana berries from their garland-like mane, which offer a comforting warmth to those that find them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hanawa loves to nap up in trees, but frequently finds that although she loves the scent of evergreens, the tree branches and needles make for an uncomfortable experience overall. She's started to visit the same couple trees repeatedly, smoothing out the tree bark and laying out heavy blankets and woven mats to soften the surfaces. Younger dragons in the family help her keep an eye on these resting spots, often bringing their own cloth hammocks to hang so they can relax there as well. During the winter months, the warmth provided by Hanawa's dropped berries is particularly welcome to the hatchlings who brave the elements to sit in those special trees.
